VIETNAM TEMPORARILY TO STOP ISSUEING VISA FOR FOREIGNERS FROM MARCH 18

Announce from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam regarding the Covid epidemic. Accordingly, suspend issue visas for foreigners entering Vietnam for a period of 30 days starting from 00:00 on 18/03/2020.

Due to the complicated disease situation across the globe, causing serious damage. Vietnam has a great risk of a disease outbreak. However, we are still in the strictly phase to strengthen measures to prevent the spread of disease. Therefore, the Vietnamese Government decided:

Temporarily stop granting visas to foreigners entering Vietnam for a period of 30 days starting from 00:00 on 18/03/2020.

From 00:00 on March 18, 2020, visa exemption or visa exemption certificates for people of Vietnamese origin and relatives, some other special cases (such as experts, business managers , skilled workers ...) upon entry must have a certificate not positive to the Covid-19 virus issued by the competent authority of the host country and this certificate is approved by Vietnam. The above measures do not apply to people on entry for diplomatic and public service purposes.

Cases of entry into Vietnam must be inspected and compliance with epidemic prevention and quarantine measures in accordance with regulations.

Implementing concentrated quarantine for people coming from the United States, European countries, ASEAN countries

Other than the current cases of concentrated quarantine, the people from the United States, European countries and ASEAN countries must be also concentrated quarantine; at the same time, quarantine and medical supervision at home, enterprises, accommodation and group supervision for subjects not under concentrated quarantine. Ensuring the health and safety of Vietnamese people and foreigners in Vietnam. Strictly prohibiting discrimination against infected and suspected people.
